Communication Process

As with all our programs one of the first tasks is to identify the objectives of the program which in this case were:

• Demonstrate each element of the communication process
• Identify communication barriers and demonstrate effective skills to overcome those barriers.
• Establish rapport to set a positive tone for communication
• Use appropriate eliciting skills to effectively gather data in a communication situation
• Use active listening skills to ensure effective communication of a proposal, feeling or fact
• Use concluding skills to confirm understanding and agreements to end the communication on a positive note.
