Supervisory Skills
This amazing leadership program for supervisors has five key objectives. By the end of this workshop, the participants will be able to:
- Define leadership
- Define leadership styles including: directing, coaching, supporting and delegating.
- Identify worker (or follower) development levels
- Identify appropriate leadership styles given in a manager/employee scenario
- Demonstrate effective leadership styles using appropriate leadership skills.
In this workshop case studies are provided along with role playing activities that allow the participants to practice identifying the four development levels and then match one of the four leadership styles that would be most effective. Participants work in groups of three as directed by the facilitator. One person plays the role of manager/supervisor and the other person plays the role of the employee. The third person acts as the observer using a guide for debriefing the manager’s ability to fulfill the role playing activity.
