Hi ,

I was recently reading through my copy of The Winner’s Attitude and it reminded me about the real value in life—you and me! We are what makes life worthwhile and so here are some of the emails that were sent to us and which can be found in, The Winner’s Attitude.

ALSO—we are looking for working moms, who would like to volunteer for our FREE coaching project. If you are interested in learning more please email me jeff@mjlearning.com with “Coaching” in the subject line and I will send you the details.

Excerpts from The Winner’s Attitude:

“When stepping out of bed in the morning, I thank God for another day and live it up to the fullest of my potential and enjoy everyone I meet. We are all so unique, and I can’t help but marvel at what we are capable of accomplishing each day and throughout our lifetimes. When we interact with one another, what a wondrous force we can be in accomplishing anything.”

“This week has been great. The little changes are making a difference. Not only here at work, but at home where it counts most.”

“When I make one person smile in a day, then I feel like my day is complete. Life is WAY too short to not be happy….even just earlier this year, I turned 35 and my dad said, ‘Wow you are getting old. I can’t believe you are this old now.’ And me being me, I said, ‘Dad, I don’t look at it that way anymore…yes, I’m getting older, and I can’t believe I’ve been alive for 35 years. Think of how many people don’t get to live for 35 years… knowing that a person can just die at any minute on any day and I’m still here to tell you this…it’s amazing!”

“I have indeed been smiling more, and a positive attitude does get the best of me these days, even at home. I have been a negative person for many years. You have made me realize how to shake the bad attitude off my plate. I feel better about myself with the exception of a few pounds I would like to take off, but that’s everyone I think. Life is good. My family is healthy, beautiful, and loving. I really should not complain.”

“Sometimes I forget about my daily affirmations first thing—so, many times it’s in the car, talking to myself. Other drivers just keep their distance—LOL, laughing out loud. I know I can make a difference, and I think I have known this for a long time. My mother always told us, ‘You have to live with who you are, what you do, and the choices you make.’ Somewhere between when I first heard her say that and now, I really listened and understood.”

Finally, in Chapter 8 there is a list of 20 Ways to Make Stress Work for You. Here is # 8 from that list:

8. Happiness is infectious. If you hear people laughing, it is hard not to smile. If you find yourself being sad . . . look for a good joke. To start you off, here’s one that a Columbian friend told me:

El Vaquero (the Mexican cowboy) and his Chihuahua,Chilito, are camping in the desert. He sets up their tent and both are soon asleep. Sometime later El Vaquero wakes his faithful friend. “Chilito, look up at the sky and tell me what you see.”Chilito replies, “I see millions of stars, señor.” “What does that tell you?” asks El Vaquero. Chilito ponders for a minute. Astronomically speaking, it tells me there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets. Astrologically, it tells me that Saturn is in Leo. Chronologically, it appears to be approximately quarter past three. Theologically, it’s evident the Lord is all-powerful, and we are small and insignificant. Meteorologically, it seems we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. What does it tell you, señor?”El Vaquero is silent for a moment, and then says, “Chilito, you pendejo. Someone has stolen our tent.”

All the very best for April

Jeff
