April is here and we are really well into spring. What are you planting in your life? Oftentimes, I notice that the ego plays a big part in what we want. A bigger car, a bigger house, a new computer, a new this, a new that. And having acquired many of these things, I have noticed that after the newness wears off, I am still in the same place as before.

It’s really interesting. So what I have learned is that although it is nice to have new things, the latest technology etc., in itself it doesn’t make me any happier. I had a good friend who made $3Million dollars on the sale of a company that he was involved in. And of course, he had to go to the bank to get help with investing his new found fortune. And while he was talking with the money managers, the wealth investors, they told him to enjoy his money. That one of their clients had sleepless nights about his $8Million dollar fortune, worrying about whether he had invested wisely? Wondering what would happen if he lost it.
Recently I was talking with a wealth manager at my bank, and it is amazing, how many people with a lot of money, really have no idea about their financial processes. They just give their money over and assume that the bank will take care of it. In other words the people that you think would be watching over every penny really don’t have a clue how to look after their money. They’re just good at what they do. And they actually don’t want to know!
So what does this mean to you and I? I think it means, do what you are good at doing. If you want to worry about your money, do it in a smart way. Keep track of your investments and then let go of it. If you don’t have money to invest then keep track of what you spend. Be conscious of what you do with your money. Don’t have sleepless nights over stuff. Be in the present moment and become awake to what you are doing right now. Be great with other people, think good thoughts and slap a grin on your face—it will change your world—guaranteed!
All the very best for a great month
