Hi ,

Did you know that November is International Drum Month? So let’s see what we can drum up for ourselves this month! If you think about it, drumming is about passion, enthusiasm and getting excited. Even a quiet drummer has to exert energy to drum—so there are no excuses not to be on fire this month!

We have one more month before the end of the year then we are into 2006! So what do you want to drum up for yourself? Will it be money, good health, a great relationship, a promotion, success at work? What will you drum up if you can drum up anything you want?

You see you can have anything you want if you just put your mind to it. I know, I know…some of you may be thinking, “Who does that Jeff Gee think he is telling me I can have anything I want? It’s impossible—he should have my life—then he’d have something different to say!” Well, I am not going to say I have gone through the worst things that some people have gone through—and I have gone through some stuff—who hasn’t? And what I have learned is that it’s not so much what happens to me, as my attitude about what happens to me.

For some people November will be a wonderful month and for others it will be miserable. Some people love the cold, some people hate it. Some people find the fall landscape inspiring; others view it as a wasteland. Remember what you look for is what you see. Are you the kind of person who looks out of your window, sees leaves on the ground and thinks, “Oh no! I have to rake!” Or do you look out and think, “Oh great! I can get some fresh air and exercise!”

Again, some of you will be thinking, “Jeff is crazy—I don’t have time for this, I have to get to work!” And it’s still up to you. Rake cheerfully or rake depressed. Rake just enough for you to see a path, or rake the whole yard—it’s all a choice—and the choice is yours. Do enough to get by—or do enough to have an amazing life full of passion and joy.

What kind of beat do you want to have in your life? Upbeat or downbeat? Do people feel energized when you walk into a room, or do they feel they have to drum some life into you? So here are some recommendations for November—International Drum Month:

1. Play upbeat music
2. Beat on a drum
3. Drum up passion and enthusiasm in your life
4. Be an inspiration to others
5. Walk with a lighter step
6. Drum up what you most want in your life
7. Tap your feet and whistle a tune
8. Sing in the shower

I’ll be singing too—all the very best

Jeff
