October, the month of first frosts, and falling leaves. For many companies, the end of the year push is starting with sales figures to reach, monies to be collected and a big finish anticipated!

For me, the winter months are always the busiest—it’s as if people suddenly realize they need to do the things they talked about earlier in the year. So let’s go for a big 2005 finish! Whatever you’re doing, whatever your position, title or job—do it better than you have ever done it before.

Close the deals, make the calls, clear up the paperwork and do the things you need to do to prepare for a big December celebration! October is a cool month, so use it to your advantage—instead of taking things personally and getting all heated up—be cool—take a breath and change your point of view—in other words be cool!

Look around at nature and take notice of what is happening in your environment. Trees are losing leaves and gathering their strength internally—this is a great idea for you also. Gather your power instead of wasting it on heated drama—create a life of cool determination, where you do the things you said you were going to do.

October is the beginning of winter, a time to use your wisdom and your experience in doing things that will create an amazing life for yourself. If you are spending too much money or time on things you don’t really need or want—now is the time to gather your strength and your power and decide what is truly important in your life. And you will most likely find that it is the simple things in life that create an amazing life! Like the following:

1. Honor your word
2. Tell the truth
3. Treat others as if they were a member of your own family (assuming you love your family of course)
4. Be on time wherever you go
5. Smile more than you frown
6. Accept yourself and others
7. Create your life today as you would like to live it tomorrow.
